Le 24 avril dernier, L’Association des arts pour le cinéma et le théâtre du Kef a régalé les amateurs de musique électronique en conviant sur la scène de l’Institut supérieur des arts dramatique , un des groupes les plus emblématique de la scène underground tunisienne, j’ai nommé Check Point 303

Tunisia arrests young rapper after online protest song

Anis Mrabti, (aka Volcanis le Roi), a 27 year old Tunisian Rapper has been arrested on Wednesday january 25, 2012 around 2 pm at his home in El Mourouj neighborhood in Tunis. According to his parents, 6 allegedly plain-clothes police officers broke into the house without showing their police badges or any warrant and asked the young Anis, who was at that time behind his computer, if he was the rapper behind the song “Shay Ma Tbaddel” (Nothing has Changed). When he confirmed, they took him and confiscated his computer and MP3 players without giving any further details to Anis’ parents who were choked by this brutal arrest.

Anouar Brahem à Genève

Le samedi 12 novembre dans la salle prestigieuse du Victoria Hall à Genève j’ai eu le plaisir et le bonheur d’assister au concert de Anouar Brahem et son New Quartet. J’avais manqué son précédent concert au Cully Jazz Festival pour cause de voyage et ne pouvais absolument pas manquer cette nouvelle opportunité de venir saluer son talent ainsi que celui de l’excellent pianiste Moncef Genoud.
